by : Muhammad Harun The Arabic word for success, which also recurs in the Generous Qur’an, is ‘falāh’, a word we are all familiar with as we hear it five times a day “…hayya ‘ala_l falāh!” in every adhan. Interestingly enough, the same root fa‐lam‐ha is also used in the Arabic word for farmer – fallāh, the literal meaning of which is something like ‘a person, who is successful by habit or by profession’. Here lies one key to the real meaning of success: The farmer of all professions is perhaps the one, who is least in control over the outcome of his efforts and labor; he tills the soil and throws the seed grains, and then he trusts in God. Assalamu’alaikum ____ , If you’re standing in prayer in these last few days of Ramadan doing your best to ‘feel’ closer to Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) yet somehow feel distanced, If you’re wondering why those around you are all crying like babies whilst you’re completely emotion-less, If you wish you could be of those with soft hearts and tearful eyes in Ramadan, but it doesn’t seem to happen and you fail to reach that level in your spiritual worship – then it’s time to have a serious one-to-one conversation with your heart. Dance Floor Collapsed @ Wedding Party

Original Report from 2001: At least 20 people have been killed and hundreds have been injured at a wedding party in Jerusalem after the dance floor collapsed. Guests were left clinging to the sides of the Versailles wedding hall when the third floor suddenly gave way at about 2245 local time and crashed through two storeys below. There were nearly 700 guests in the building, which is in the indu More..strial Talpiot area of Jerusalem. Many were left trapped by the falling rubble which left a gaping hole through the centre of the building. Reports say about 250 people have been taken to hospital but rescuers say there are signs of life beneath the debris.
